Comments:
  Kanoa. This is a handmade kamane (Calophyllum inophyllum) wood bowl with a flat bottom and a shellac finish. It is recorded as being a bowl used to prepare and serve awa (Piper methysticum). This bowl is similar to 00418, 00556, & 00558. There are interior water stains. Max rim width: 0.9 cm; bowl depth approx: 9.6 cm.
