Comments:
 Kanoa. This is a handmade kou (cordia subcordata) wood bowl with a flat bottomwith a traditiona finish. It is recorded as being a bowl used to prepare and serve awa (Piper methysticum). Similar to #00418, 00555, 00556. Water stains in interior. One crack in interior. Top edge angles downward to a smaller base: 22 cm (diam). max rim width: 0.7 cm; bowl depth approx: 11.8 cm.
