 Bamboo Drums. Ohe keeke, bamboo drums used in the hula keeke. The performer, squatting, holds one in each hand vertically, and alternately strikes their lower closed ends on a stone placed before him for the purpose, keeping time to the dance while he oils. (Emerson) One end is closed. Illustrated in Buck (1957: figure 266A). Length 57.9 cm, diameter in the middle 4.6 cm. No Figure. (Summers)
