A dark wood (unknown) was used to make this long, smooth, slender, one pieced paddle. The blade is long, slender, and narrow. One side of the blade is flat and the other side in convex. "Kotoro" is carved on one side of the blade. The handle is straight and is angled toward the blade. There are bird-like images carved at the top of the handle, but only remnants of inlaid shell eyes remain.
