 This is a bundle of eight sticks and seven barbless iron one-piece fishhooks attached with cordage to the sticks. One of the names for barbless fishhooks is 'omau, which means "to hold steadfast." This fishhook is thought to be a Makau Kaka and originally had eight barbless iron one-piece fishhooks.
