Comments:
 This hat is made of loulu, fan palm (Pritchardia spp.). The leaves were prepared, stripped and woven as a single piece known as the Kona style. The center of the crown, called the piko, is made up of three piko designs. The hat is woven in the maka oeno twill weave with a section of ekeeke, herringbone twill weave, on the sides of the crown.
