Comments:
This hat is made of loulu, fan palm (Pritchardia spp.). The leaves were prepared, stripped and woven as a single piece known as the Kona style. The center of the crown, called the piko, is made up of a single piko design. The rest of the hat is woven in the maka oeno twill weave.
