Comments:
 Papale ie. This hat is made of iwaiwa, maidenhair fern (Adiantum spp.) stems and pua ko, sugar cane (Saccharum officinarum) tassel. The fern stems were flattened and the sugar cane stems were stripped. They were plaited together into a long braid with an angular design. The braid was then sewn together to form the hat.
