Comments:
 Papale ie. This hat is made of pua ko, sugar cane (Saccharum officinarum) tassel. The stem of the inflorescence was stripped, dyed, plaited into a long braid and sewn together to form the hat. The color of the strips have faded on the exterior, but the interior retains the brilliant purple color which was woven with the natural color.
