Comments:
 This ahuula was purchased by the museum from the American Board of Comissioners for Foreign Mission of Boston. It is made up of red iiwi (Vestiaria coccinea) feathers and black and yellow oo (Moho spp.) feathers. It has a background of red iiwi. A central horizontal crescent is made of yellow oo with a crescent within it made of red iiwi. A thin band of yellow oo runs along the lower border. Two pair of half-crescents made of red iiwi run along the front edges. A thin band of black oo also runs along the front edges. A thin band of alternating yellow oo and black oo sections run along the neckline. The net backing is made of olona fiber.
