 This is a barbless iron one-piece fishhook with attached ka'a, the snell of the fishing line, the aho cordage or fishing line, a lead weight, and a longer line of cordage wrapped around a piece of wood. One of the names for barbless fishhooks is 'omau, which means "to hold steadfast."
