Comments:
 This mahiole is made of twined ieie (Freycinetia arborea), olona (Touchardia latifolia) cordage and remnants of red iiwi (Vestiaria coccinea) and yellow mamo (Drepanis pacifica) feathers. It is constructed with a high crest, using split ieie to create the structure. A fine mesh netting of olona (Touchardia latifolia) is attached to the outer surface of the mahiole.To this netting, red iiwi feathers were attached. Yellow mamo feathers were tied only along the crest of the mahiole, now completely bare.
