Comments:
  This patchwork quilt has a regular pattern of dark and light triangles creating geometric patterns, using varied and high quality fabrics. Elongated triangular pieceswith scalloped edges are used as the border, trimmed in black. Blue silk is used as backing. Well made. Said to have been a bed quilt made by Princess Pauahi while a student at the Young Chief's school. Part of a collection of items displayed in "Mrs. Bishop's Cabinet" at the entrance of the Museum for many years. The blue fabric backing of the quilt is very fragile and has areas of loss.
