Comments:
 This quilt named "Na Kalaunu Me Na Kahili" is purple applique on a white background, and was designed for Mrs. William Harrison Rice. An earlier quilt of this pattern (made in 1886 by Mrs. William Harrison Rice), red pattern on white, exists in a private collection. This quilt has squared corners, wide purple border at top and bottom, and purple binding along the edges. This quilt was made by Kalei Lois Kapule Montgomery of Kaua'I. The quilt was given to Mrs. E Lewers Paris (Dorothea Cooke) by Mrs. Dora Isenberg of Kaua'I around 1934.
