 Mochi pounder of unvarnished wood fashioned in the general shape of a large hammer with a cylindrical curved head. Used for mochi (Japanese rice cake) making. Could have been homemade. Used by the donor's parents who came to Hawaii in 1903. Donated with collection of mochi pounding implements.
