 Zither with black metal body, ivory tuning pegs, and metal strings. Made by Franz Schwarzer of Austria, who began manufacture of zithers in 1866 in Missouri. Stored with envelope reading "Manufacturers Advertising Co. 93 Ferry St. Jersey City, N.J." In donor's family for many years.
