 This papa heenalu is made of fiberglass. Style known as "The Sting", representing a "two in one type" board, both "cut away and step rail" according to maker George Downing of Wave Crest Hawaii Inc.. It was made in 1977 for the Vienna Exhibit. "The Bishop Museum Hawaiian Tapas" design was used on the face of this board. It was donated by John Wright.
