Comments:
 Papale ie. Mrs. Dorothea Woodrum said this hat is made of the inner stem of a fern frond. On closer examination, it appears to be made from the leaflets of a palm. It is dark brown in color, woven into a braid and sewn together to form the hat. A lining is stitched in on the interior of the crown.
