 Plant (loulu, cotton)

Comments:
Papale ie. This hat is said to be made of loulu (Pritchardia spp.). Upon closer examination, it more closely resembles the prepared white coconut leaf. The material was woven into a long braid with a scalloped edge and stitched together to form the hat. This style of braid gives the hat a lace-like appearance.
