 Papale ie. This had is said to be made of lau niu, coconut (Cocos nucifera) leaves. They were stripped, woven into a braid and sewn together to form the hat. The strips are dark brown in color. The braid has an intricate design on one side. Fabric and shell accents lines the interior.
