Comments:
 This hat is made of lau hala (Pandanus tectorius). Dark and light colored leaves were prepared, stripped and woven as a single piece known as the Kona Anoni style. The center of the crown, called the piko, is made up of three piko designs. The rest of the hat is woven in the maka oeno twill weave. Two sections of pattern weave can be seen, one section on the crown and the other along the brim. A hatband made of Haole koa seeds is tied around the base of the crown with two resulting tassels.
