Comments:
 This hat is made of lau hala (Pandanus tectorius). The leaves were prepared, stripped and woven as a single piece known as the Kona style. The hat is entirely woven in maka moena, check weave. It has a short brim and has a medium color. A koa haole (Leucaena glauca) seeds hatband is stitched down to the crown with a grosgrain ribbon underneath. A grosgrain ribbon binding has bee applied to the brim's edge. A hair comb is attached to the interior of the crown.
