Comments:
 This quilt has a purple applique of kahili, crown and crown flower designs on a yellow background. It was created in 1993 to commemorate the 100th anniversary of the overthrow of the Hawaiian Kingdom and was exhibited at the State Library. The kahili and crown are symbols of royalty frequently used on quilts. The crown flower is a favoriteof Lili'uokalani. Embroidered at the top right: "Ua mau ke ea o ka aina I ka pono". Embroidered at bottom right: "Liliuokalani/Jan 1893- Jan 1993/ Kepola". The corners are squared with purple binding along the edges.
