Comments:
 This hat is made of loulu, fan palm (Pritchardia spp.). The leaves were prepared, stripped and woven as a single piece known as the Kona style. The center of the crown, known as the piko, is made of three piko designs. The hat is entirely woven in maka oeno, twill weave, except for two sections of larger twill weave. One section appears on the crown and the other on the edge of the brim. A silk grosgrain ribbon is stitched to the interior of the crown.
