 Bamboo Drums. Ohe keeke, bamboo drums used in the hula keeke. The performer, squatting, holds one in each hand vertically, and alternately strikes their lower closed ends on a stone placed before him for the purpose, keeping time to the dance while he oils. (Emerson) Open at both ends. Made od two joints of bamboo, 80 and 54.6 cm long. Middle node hollowed out. Length 135 cm, diameter in the middle 7.5 cm. Formerly catalogued as 04851. No Figure.
