SYNONYMS: Syngonium podophyllum 'Albolineatum' [we follow Croat 1981 in separating 'Albolineatum' as Syngonium angustatum Schott 1858 (Mexico - Costa Rica) from the variable Syngonium podophyllum Schott 1851 (Mexico - Brazil - Bolivia).]

POSITIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Ornamental leaves
NEGATIVE SIGNIFICANCE: Weed - moderate. Comments: NBSAP - Mauke (5 of 10 weeds)
IDENTIFICATION: Climbing plant with divided leaves. STEMS not glaucous, with pale raised transverse-lines. JUVENILE LEAVES undivided, heart-shaped, to 6cm, dark green with grey-green along principal veins. SUB-ADULT LEAVES arrow-like or with wide-oval basal lobes and anterior one oval. ADULT LEAVES dark green above, pale green below, strongly subdivided; leaflets 7-11 (3 primary + 4-8 secondary), CENTRL oval, symmetrical to 25x12cm, LATERALS on stalk to 5cm, asymmetrical to 22x10cm, each with 2-3 ears/2° leaflets up to 15x7cm; main stalk 60cm, groove 50%, medial ridge sharp. FLOWERS (from lit.) axillary, 7, stalk glaucous and almost 3-sided; SPATHE TUBE oval, green and glaucous, 5x3cm; BLADE cream 9x4cm; (from RRspm.) SPADIX basal pistillate section 3x1cm, greenish, flowers ~hexagonal; SPADIX staminate section, 7x2cm, pale yellow, flowers not fused, apex not notched.
