COOK ISLANDS STATUS: Native; Marine, near-shore, Surge Zone.

SIGNIFICANCE LIST: ; Nationally endangered (moderately)Medicine

KEY FEATURES: A limpetlike urchin. Dorsal spines are short, stout and polygonal to form a smooth mosaic. Ventral surface is covered with tube-feet and there is a marginal finge of flat spines.
