TAXONOMY: ANIMALIA; CHORDATA; GNATHOSTOMATA (Jawed Vertebrates); PISCES; OSTEICHTHYES; Scorpaeniformes; Platycephaloidei; PLATYCEPHALIDAE. COMMENT: SciName J.E.Randall pers.comm. 3/2000, not Eschmeyer.
