Helix tentoriolumGould, A.A. 1846. [Descriptions of the species Helix, from the shells of the United States Exploring Expedition]. Proceedings of the Boston Society of Natural History. 2:176.


Type Specimen(s):Only specimen known ANSP 1935 (Baker, 1941: 313) [although Garrett (1887: 128) stated that Gould described it from "examples", plural].
Type Locality:Upolu.
Remarks:Placed only tentatively in subgenus Ludificator by Baker (1941: 313). Garrett (1887: 128) questioned its presence in Samoa.
