Status:
SiteType: Stone piles and platforms. Between the highway and the railway bed are at least ten features consisting of piles of basalt boulders or cobbles stacked together, frequently on top of bedrock boulders. At least some of these seem to have been constructed as purposeful platforms (ahu?). (During Project 324 monitoring of the stone piles with back- hoe bisections, drawings revealed recent origin on present surface.) EXCAVATION.
