History: TL 1974.107
Status:
SiteType: Burial shelters and cave with associated terraces. Feature A: A remnant of possible living area. Cobble paving 1.5 x 2.5m. Feature B: Terrace wall, runs 30m towards NW. Height varies .9 to 1m. Feature C: 3m long, 0.6m high, single-stacked, boulder- faced terrace. Feature D: A well-built, boulder platform, 2.5m long, 1.1m high. Paved with small boulders and cobbles. Feature E: Burial cave, approx. 50 feet long. Two sections of planking found (coffins?). Feature F: 2 x 1.5m, in cliff face at ground level; long bones, vertebrae from one individual found. Feature G: 10 x 3m, 5m directly above shelter F. Remains of at least three individuals. Feature H: 3m above ground in cliff face, c. 1.5m deep. Appears to have been robbed, scattered bone fragments remain. Feature I: Human burial under a huge, flat boulder. Long bones remain, indicating "bundle" or primary burial. Feature J: A 9m long, 3.5m wide enclosure, open to W.
