SiteType: Heiau at Honaunau, (incorrectly called Heiau of Alealea.) A high stone platform incorrectly called the heiau of Alealea. Partially restored in 1902. S and close to the great wall is a small platform about 30' square and 2' high; said to be a sanctuary for women during their monthly periods. Also a series of platforms, c. 60 x 60' at the N end of Puuhonua wall called "Hale o Keawe". Formerly HH-1a.
