SiteType: D16-13. Feature complex on 1801 lava flow. D16-13 (1). Cave shelter with entrance on S side. Interior is 8.9 x 7.3m One interior ledge is faced with boulders/cobbles, (.20 to .30m high). Cobble paved area (2.0 x 2.2m) present in N side of cave interior. Historic bottle outside cave. D16-13 (2). Ahu. Roughly circular ahu situated c. 8m SE of cave D16-13-1. Ahu is 1.8m in diamenter and 1.3m high and built with basalt boulders and cobbles (6-7 courses). ARTIFACTS, historic.
