SiteType: Found exposed by erosion in a road cut at an unspecified location along road to summit of Haleakala, reported by Thomas E. Witcraft, Asst. Sup. of Park. Incomplete skeleton shipped to Emory; identified as young adult female, presumably Hawaiian; no artifacts found by personnel who investigated burial; 2 photos show burial to be extended on back, lower legs folded back parallel to thigh, hands probably lay on abdomen.
