SiteType: Kaina'ohe Fishpond. A loko kuapa (pond made by building a wall on a reef), of 17 acres; wall approx. 1770 feet long, built of basalt with some coral fill. Height of wall from bottom of pond is 5 feet. Pond used in 1957, wall intact. In 1960 a tsnunami destroyed portions of wall.
