SiteType: Midden/cave. Keonohau midden site. Deepest known open midden site on Lanai. Cave at rear. Located about 200m W of the prominent rocky point called Lae Wahie at E side of the mouth of small gulch c. 8m from high tide line, and c. 2.5m above sea level. Area of open midden measures c. 6 x 3m, and varies from 0.3 to 0.5m thick. Mouth of small cave is adjacent to SE side of midden. SE branch is c. 7m deep, and SW is c. 3.6m deep. At rear of SE branch is a small natural shelf 2 x 1m high. Latitude: 20-55-31 Longitude: 156-56-32
