SiteType: Poolu Heiau, on the E bluff on Hanalei Valley a short distance from the government road on a knoll marked on the map as Pooku. Only a few stones remain. Described by Thrum as "An unenclosed heiau of about two acres in area. Of luakini class, terraced down on all sides from the central platform." NOTE: POOKU IS IN D11, AHUPUAA OF KALIHIKAI, NOT HANALEI (D10). MFR, 1985. RENUMBERED TO D11-8. EK, 6-14-88. (FROM D10-1).
