SiteType: Koaloa Heiau. Honolulu side of Moanalua Valley, about halfway up the side of the ridge. The entire structure is approximately 93 feet front by 50 feet wide, built of the rather rough lava rocks found in the vicinity. It appears to have been but a single main terrace, with steplike ledging in front, two smaller areas on either side, and one, or possibly two small terraces in the back-center against the steep slope. Heiau was undoubtedly approached by an incline which zigzagged up the front.
