SiteType: Shelter cave. A cave which was probably used as a habitation. There is another small entrance which is now filled with trash. Douglas Damon said the old Hawaiians had told him that "it was a refuge cave", and during times of war the women and children were hidden here, and the mouth closed by a large stone.
