SiteType: House site. The portion of house foundation which remains is 22 feet long, and evenly edged with stones 1-2 feet long. Ash, charcoal, broken glass, fish scales, decayed kukui shells, sea shells and a well-made top of a pounder were unearthed. Grass house occupied by a Chinese 25 years before. Below the kahua and on the edge of the former pond wall is an enclosure, (A1-45). North is a brackish well, faced with stones, (A1-44). NOTE: this is site O-16 excavated by D.T. Bayard (1966-67) from University of Hawaii. Ms report dated Oct. 1969. ARTIFACTS.
