SiteType: Mamalahoa Trail. This historic trail, which passes over the Kaniku lava flow, is easily visible on the air photos, as it was constructed in an almost perfectly straight line. Fissures in lava flow were crossed with causeways. Trail, c. 1m wide, is paved with a'a clinkers, and has low curbings.
