SiteType: Old trail. This a'a clinker trail runs roughly parallel to the Mamalahoa Trail, (E2-79), as much as 30-40m inland. Trail consists of smoothed a'a clinkers, and is quite wide and easy to travel on foot. Waterworn pebbles scattered along trail. Appears to have been used in prehistoric and historic times, and almost certainly the forerunner of Mamalahoa Trail, with which it occasionally merged. ARTIFACTS.
