SiteType: Cairn; a 3-to-4 course cairn of subangular to subrounded dense basalt with few, large vesicles, located on the edge of the ridge at 7,000 foot elevation. The ahu measures 1 X 1m, and is .55m high. NP Ranger notes that this is one of the few places along the ridge from where descent to the Kaupo gap floor is possible.
