SiteType: Heiau Hala, in La Perouse Arch. District. Heiau hoomana; 800' W of Paalua. A natural cleft, 7 feet long in a large mass of aa, etc. At edge of beach, where formerly was a pit connected with the sea by a channel. Indications are that pit was about 3 feet wide, but trench filled in with shingle from sea. Shark-god fed or worshiped at pool.
