SiteType: Maileola Heiau, located on W side of valley, crowning a steep bluff. Recorded by Stokes, 1909. Structure measures 125 feet x 38 feet. In the SE portion is an irregular depression about 9 feet wide and 3 feet deep. Located 0.3 miles inland from Hwy 45 N of Laumanua residence. Paved platform 5 x 6m at N end resembles raised ahu. S is another possible platform. Near center of heiau is a pit 2.5 x 1.5m, also 2 roughly circular pits. (From Statewide Inventory site report.) (? spelling Laumauna or Laumanua ?)
