SiteType: Ma'iu Heiau. A large heiau for human sacrifice; rectangular in shape; measuring about 96 x 200 feet. W and N walls are fairly intact and show massive construction of large blocks of volcanic rock terraced in four/five tiers. Recent burials inside. Trail paved with beach stones leads to heiau; likely a portion of Kiha-pii-lani Trail said to encircle Maui. Latitude: 21-01-32 Longitude: 156-36-36
