SiteType: Hikauhi Fishpond, a loko kuapa (enclosed shore fishpond made by building a wall on the reef); originally an area of 60 ares (c. 1.5 acres), now filled. Wall, 10 feet wide, and 5 feet high, was made of basalt and packed pretty solidly with coral. Remains of makaha midway along seawall, and closed inland lane seen by Stokes, 1909.
